So...Who is that Guy?
Guy Edwards is a Wiltshire-based amateur tenor (& baritone!) who is available as an operatic principal and for recital and concert work covering different styles and genres from show music to Lieder, art-song and oratorio.
A keen supporter of the arts in Wiltshire and the surrounding areas, as well as playing 'cello with (and managing) the Wessex Concert Orchestra, he is currently singing with the internationally-acclaimed Wessex Male Choir, White Horse Touring Opera, and Bristol Opera. In the past he has also taken principal roles with White Horse Opera, Kennet Opera and Opera Piccola. Guy is chairman of the Swindon Recital Series and a member of the opera performance group, Opera Cara.

2 October 2010 - Wessex Male Choir and guests, the Reading Phoenix Choir, in a charity concert for Cancer Research UK at St Andrew's Church, Chippenham. Details to be confirmed.
30 October 2010 - Appearing as Roberto in Bristol Opera's concert performance (with orchestra) of Puccini's first opera, Le Villi at Henleaze United Reform Church. The opera will be sung in a new English translation by Graham Billing. Performance starts at 7.30pm. Tickets (£9) available from Bristol Opera Box Office on 0845 833 7124. More information here. The evening will also feature a number of opera excerpts and choruses from other operas, including a taster of Bristol Opera's next major production, Puccini's Manon Lescaut which will be performed in May 2011.

Performing with Dajana and Arne Kovac in a recital of Kunstlied and
English Art Song at the Bristol Music Club. The recital will include
Sir Arthur Sullivan's charming and much neglected song cycle "The Window" (The Songs of the Wrens) which is a setting of poems by Tennyson. The cycle is widely credited as being the first English song-cycle in the Lieder tradition. Box Office details to be confirmed - please check back nearer the time.
27 November 2010 - The Wessex Male Choir charity concert for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution at Cirencester Parish Church. Details to be confirmed.
8 December 2010 - The Wessex Male Choir will be topping the bill at the Annual PDS Christmas Carol Concert in Central Hall, Westminster. Details to be confirmed.
